Kanojo, Okarishimasu Chapter 154

Chapter 154: The Girlfriend and Resolve

Continuing with the events of the last chapter, Kazuya meets with Sumi, who asks him, with signs, if Chizuru's movie went well.

"Oh yes, it went well, thanks to you!" Kazuya responded.

Then, with a smile, Kazuya tells Sumi that the reason he asked her out was because he wanted to ask her advice. And when Sumi hears this, she is surprised and starts looking around. Then she stares at Kazuya with a flushed face, and when he sees her acting strangely, he starts thinking about what he did to make her act this way.

"Well, let's calm down for a moment," said Kazuya.

When Sumi hears this, she blushes and bows her head to apologize, but Kazuya tells her that it is okay, that there is no need to apologize.

"I'm really glad to know that you're very serious about this," Kazuya said with a smile. "Just seeing you... Makes me feel better!"

Hearing that, Sumi blushes, and then Kazuya asks her to go to a cafe to talk.

After a while, Sumi gets depressed and starts crying after hearing what Kazuya said. And when he saw her act that way, Kazuya thought, "This... doesn't make me feel good at all."

Suddenly, Sumi's mood improves and she writes on her notepad, "Is Chizuru-chan all right?"

Kazuya puts on a serious face and then says, "Well, about that... I'm not really sure..."

Then Kazuya tells Sumi that Chizuru has been showing the same smile as always, looking strong and firm, and that he really wants to help her because he is not sure if she is really okay, since after all, it is her grandmother who just passed away. So most normally Chizuru would be devastated, but when he sees that smile, Kazuya mentions that he is not sure what he can do.

So most normally Chizuru would be devastated, but when he saw that smile, Kazuya mentions that he is not sure what he can do.

"Recently, a friend told me that no one can be alone in this world," said Kazuya. "But I wonder if that is true? If someone is able to pretend to be brave at a time like this... Then I feel that the person in front of me is someone who doesn't need anyone." Kazuya looks down and continues. "Well, that's what I want to believe... But the truth is that my hands are tied. So I felt that maybe you could understand her feelings better than I do."

With a serious face, Sumi listened to everything, then drank her tea and thanked Kazuya for the drink. And suddenly, she stands up, takes Kazuya's hand and leads him to Shinjuku. Seeing her act so spontaneously, Kazuya wonders why Sumi brought him there.

Then Sumi stops at the train station and starts looking for the Shonan region, which is a very famous place in Japan for its beaches. When Kazuya sees that, he is surprised and wonders why Sumi wants to take him to Shonan. Then Sumi stares at him and in her notebook she writes, "The sea calms the soul".

Kazuya is surprised once again and tells Sumi that it is not possible to go to that place, since after all, he only rented her for an hour. Then Sumi keeps her notebook, stares at Kazuya and says, "If it is for the sake of Chizuru-chan... Then I want to do something too," Sumi blushes and puts her right hand on her chest. "So from now on... We are doing this as friends."

"Whaaaaaaaat!?" Kazuya thought as he made a surprised face.

Next time: Shonan!?
