Continuing with the events of the last chapter, Kazuya recalls a conversation he had with Chizuru, when he asked her if she had told Sayuri the truth about their relationship, to which she said no even though she tried to do so.

Then, with a sad look on her face, Chizuru told Kazuya that if Grandma Nagomi finds out the truth, she will most likely, from that moment on, look down on her for lying to Sayuri.

"I won't let that happen," said Kazuya, who then, with a serious look, promised Chizuru that he would protect her.

Back to the present, Kazuya tells the others that they are mistaken about Chizuru, since, in fact, the two of them are indeed dating.

And once the others hear that, they show a "strange reaction", as if they don't believe what Kazuya just told them.

Then, continuing with the lie, Kazuya tells them that he's been dating Chizuru since a week before Sayuri's death and that, moreover, he didn't tell Mami about it.

And as Kazuya continues to talk, Ruka is shocked by what she just found out. Apparently, she did believe the lie.

Then Kazuya, who tries to show a smile, says, "So, basically, Chizuru never lied to Sayuri-san...".

At that instant, Kibe approaches Kazuya and, with a serious look, asks him if he is aware of what he just said, because if he keeps lying, then everything will be over for them.

Faced with such a situation, many thoughts went through Kazuya's head, as he knows that, despite everything, Kibe has always been protecting him and trusting him until the last moment.

However, now Kazuya has something more important to do: protect Chizuru.

"That she was deceiving everyone? Don't be ridiculous!" exclaims Kazuya.

In this way, Kazuya starts to describe all of Chizuru's qualities, to then say that it's all his fault, because due to the kindness she has, she couldn't say "no" to all those lies.

Then Kazuya apologizes to everyone for what is happening and, in tears, tells them that he really loves Chizuru.

Hearing that, Kibe, Ruka and Kuribayashi are speechless, while Grandma Nagomi shows a serious look.

And while Kazuya is still crying, suddenly, Mami looks at him coldly and asks him to kiss Chizuru as a proof that what he is saying is true.
