The light novel "Shinka no Mi ~Shiranai Uchi ni Kachigumi Jinsei~" will have an anime adaptation

From Futabasha's official Monster Bunko Twitter account, it has been announced that the light novel Shinka no Mi ~Shiranai Uchi ni Kachigumi Jinsei~, written by Miku and illustrated by U35, will have an anime adaptation of which more information will be provided in the future.

The novel was first published in January 2014 on the website Shosetsuka ni Naro, where it is currently still being published. Shortly after, in September 2014, the novel published its first volume under the Monster Bunko imprint, and next February 26 will publish its 12th volume.

In addition, the novel has a manga adaptation that has been published on the Web Comic Action website since September 2017. Currently, 5 compilation volumes have been published.

The "animal fantasy" story centers on Seiichi Hiiragi. Though at the bottom of his school's social pecking order, he and his entire school are upended when everyone in the school is transported into another world. Seiichi finds himself alone and approached by a gorilla, who instead of attacking him, instead proposes to him. At the moment that Seiichi thinks that "I guess a gorilla is fine too," they find the Fruit of Evolution, and when they eat it, their lives are suddenly changed once again.
